WOOD

WICK

FAQs

  • The first burn is the most important. Trim your wood wick to 1/8”-3/16” and give your candle enough burning time to develop a melted wax pool that reaches the edge of the jar.

  • Burn for 2-3 hours at a time. Burning your candle for too long could overheat your jar and cause cracking or could even explode.

  • Keep your wick trimmed. Before relighting pinch the top of your wick or use wick trimmers to clean off any burnt wood from previous use. The flame is drawing wax upwards through the wick, so it is important to always keep your wick trimmed short and clean.

  • Wood wicks may take several times to light. Heat from the flame needs to draw the wax through the wick, once you get it going, it should light up more easily. Best technique is to tilt the candle jar on an angle and let the flame draw across the wick.

  • We use high-quality wood wicks as well as plant-based soy + coconut wax. With natural ingredients there should be little to no soot or smoke. Our wax is non-toxic and less likely to cause allergies compared to paraffin and offers a much longer burn time and stronger scent throw. Each candle is hand-poured in small batches to ensure our ingredients maintain their best quality & freshness.
